Sometimes underwater is the best place to be and see. That is why I love snorkling and (scuba) diving.


Curacao

I had my first underwater experiences on the island of Curacao (one of the Netherlands Antilles, just north of Venezuela).

Reef Care Curacao. Foundation Reef Care is a non-profit, volunteer foundation dedicated to protecting and preserving the Curaçao coral reefs. Menjangan Island (Deer Island)

When we were on honeymoon in Indonesia, we also went to Bali. Located in the northwest of Bali, the Menjangan Island is situated in Bali Sea, just a few kilometer from the north beach of West Bali. Here is a nature reserve with some beautiful underwater scenery. There are a few dive sites to choose from at Menjangan with good conditions and excellent visibility. The snorkeling is excellent too. This was an unforgettable experience.

Many divers said that Menjangan Island is the best dive site in Bali. The water is clear and calm with a rich various species of fishes.

- Up on the north-western tip of Bali, the water around Menjangan Island provides the best place for snorkeling and diving in Bali. The unspoiled nature on the Terima Bay and the West Bali National Park area offer another variety of beauty that you can find in Bali.

Bali's Best Dive Sites.

- Some of the best wall dive in Asia with pelagics, turtle and great coral growth. Menjangan offers vertical walls down to 30-60 mtrs, which then slope outwards. The island is protected, currents and waves are generally non-existent. Visibility is 20-25 meters. It is part of Bali Barat National Park. Menjangan is great for all levels of divers or snorkelers.
