Welcome to the website of the Spoken Dutch Corpus

Between 1998 and 2004 the Spoken Dutch Corpus (Corpus Gesproken Nederlands; CGN) was constructed, a corpus of contemporary Dutch as spoken by adults in Flanders and the Netherlands. The corpus was completed in March 2004.

On this site, information can be found concerning the Spoken Dutch Corpus project and its aims. For various activities within the project the procedures that were adopted are described, while also the protocols used are available. An overview is presented of the data that were collected and the transcriptions and annotations that are available.

The Dutch Language Union holds all rights to the Spoken Dutch Corpus. The corpus and the software for its exploitation are distributed by the Dutch HLT Centre (TST-Centrale) and can be ordered there.
